I recorded an interview last week about an attitude shift that I made over 19 years ago. I added a post on my Facebook page about another attitude shift, and I was asked what was the shift about.
I became completely aware of the principle that our present world is a direct reflection, or a complete manifestation of what we think about everyday. The mind, not the brain is the most sophisticated and misunderstood area of our being. Think of a mirror, and not a trick mirror. The reflection that you see is what is! My mentor Earl Nightingale stated that, “we are the sum total of all of our thoughts from the last five years, and we will become the sum total of all of our present thoughts over the next five years”. I heard a friend say over 11 years ago and, I did not pay attention to his words. Junk in. Junk out! If life sucks, then it is because of what is going in the mind. I like to call it the filing cabinet in the mind. All thoughts will stay there until they are replaced!
Another aspect to my shift was the fact that I had not been planning out my life, because I was not thinking. Some will say we do think, but when you truly understand the real concept of thinking. We don’t think. It has been said that 2% think 3% think that they think, and 95% would rather die than think. All these years I have been in the 3%, and after reading and fully understanding this concept, an attitude shift was immediately needed!
Now comes the task of learning how to fully implement, and to create the new life, and the new brighter path in life that I desire to walk down. One filled with new thoughts, which creates new ideas, which creates the new results.
It is amazing what happens when you become aware!
Awareness is on my mind! So many benefit from the lack of human awareness, because I feel we fell to heed the warnings of, “you reap what you sow”. We are now trying to play catch up to fix or repair our lives. How many have said if I only knew then what I know now! The bottom line is to become “aware” of the tools and… resources necessary for change and prosperity. You get out what you put in! Prosperity or Junk?
To the youth! Don’t waste, or spend time putting in junk that will not benefit you later. Those of us that are older are fighting for our happiness, peace, and a harmonious life.
I don’t know how many times I had asked myself what in the heck is going on. I now know that everything that I have ever experienced in my lifetime is in a filing cabinet locked away in my subconscious mind, you should take time to learn about that, and the only way anything can effectively change is with patients, persistence, and most importantly “awareness”.
Everything about mankind’s existence hinders on awareness. The past, present, and the future. Health, wealth, happiness you name it! The natural law state that what you put in you must get back out. Ignorance of that law has hurt myself as well as the masses, and continue to do so.
Where is all of that stuff going into you may ask? It is going through the conscious mind, and being stored in that permanent filing cabinet of the subconscious mind. There lies the problem! The present life is the direct manifestation of all of those thoughts, images and ideas in that filing cabinet. You remember the divine law. You get back what you put in. You reap what you sow. Cause and effect. The mind plays no favorites, because the lawmaker is perfect, just, and fair!
Now I find this out!
Over the last few months I have been asking myself questions about what goes on around me that involves marriage, my children and people. The more I witness the more I dig for answers. Right now at this moment I am amazed at what goes on in the life of a human! I have been making notes striving to put it all together so that it makes sense to others. I have been studying about what science, experts, and scholars have known for ages. People are not truly aware of the “other” method or path that brings tangible and intangible happiness!
I made a commitment to myself exactly one week ago today. I said that when I awoke on Friday August 21, 2009 that I was going start that day securing my financial future. In one week I have progressed far more than I ever thought. I had always had a positive attitude, but I had never made up my mind to really start making a plan. Sure we all say what we are going to do, but never start a viable plan. It has been said that you should never stop learning. Well for so many years I had stopped learning, and that is why I have been stuck in my downward financial situation. I always believed that I could accomplish the task, but deep down I did not know how.
I have learned that 96% of the world’s population does not know how to earn money, and I am one of those people. Sure we know how to go to work, but that is not earning money. That is working for money, or trading time for money. So I have begun to change my way of thinking so I can learn this process. The process requires reading, studying, and sincere action. I do not want to have to worry about if I will be able to pay my bills on time anymore. I do not want to worry about if I can provide for my families basic necessities, food, clothing, and transportation. My wife started her new job this week and had to walk to work because we had no money to make the repairs to our vehicle. That was an extremely sad day for me.
Yes I still have two broken ankles and can not walk, but I have a mind that works, and opportunities for change. I feel that change requires a plan, and a plan requires action, and a dedication to success. It is now time for success, by January 1, 2009!
